SpaceX – the manufacturer of advanced rockets and spacecraft is all set to send a car to the red planet with their Falcon Heavy Rocket. Tesla Roadster 1.0 is the payload for the rocket along with a test dumpy wearing their new space suit designed by SpaceX.
If they succeed, Falcon heavy will be the world’s most powerful operation rocket after Saturn V Moon which last flown in 1973, delivered more payload to orbit.
“It’s the biggest rocket in the world by far,” – SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
Faclon Heavy has merlin 27 engines, split between three Falcon 9 boosters to enough generate thrust to push 18 Boeing 747 aircrafts. With that kind of thrust, it is capable enough to send humans to the moons or to the Red planet, – SpaceX.
SpaceX has design a way to strap the boosters together as well as a way to detach the booster from each other after the launch. And SpaceX will attempt to land all of them back on Earth after launch.
Once the boosters are separated they will land back simultaneously back at Kennedy Space Center and the center booster will land on droneship sea-faring platform.
The company has pulled a similar move off more than 20 times before with its smaller rocket, the Falcon 9. But that had just one first-stage booster.
Whatever the result may be, this will be a huge moment for SpaceX.
“It’s like the first time something exciting has happened in rocket launch in a long time,” Musk
